Leland Bongle Milton, WI
The farm is settled in Rock County Wisconsin. A few miles east of Janesville, WI. in the town of Johnstown. I took over the family farm in 2009 when i got back from the war. In the last 20 years we have grown form a 5,000 acre dairy farm to a 15,000 acre cash crop farm. When I took over I changed a few things that we did on the farm. I changed the name to Insane Acres cause we are the largest farm in the County and my mom's customers were confusing my farm with her custom operation Bongle Custom Field Work. We raise 8400 acres of field corn for United Ethanol in Milton, WI. We also raise around 100 acres a year of white food corn for The Delong company. For soybeans we raise 5500 acres that are sold to the Biodielsel plant in Clinton, WI. The left over ground is planted in oats that we sell to the local feed mill Hammil Farm Center. We have roughly 2,622,305 bushels of storage on the farm. We have 2 85'x160' concrete silos that we put up when the Cargil plant was built in Milton. In the silos we store all of our Corn. In the 2 of the 60'x106'6" Sukup Comercial Bins we store our soybeans. The 3rd Sukup bin is for overflow or storage for my mom's crops. I own Outlaw Truckin Company which consits of 2 quad axle dumps a Binder and a Freightliner FLD120 and a day cab Kenworth W900B with a framed dump trailer. These trucks are leased to Frank Bro. INC. We also run 3 semis that are leased to the Cargil plant when not harvesting. They run Timpte Super C convertabel hopper traielrs for they can haul grain one way and bag feed the on the way back. We run a mix of new and older equipment in John Deere and Case-IH and even an older Ford TW-35. The farmer we bought most of the land from bought out the merged with the owner of IG Halls in Johnstown and they bought out the CNH and John Deere dealerships in Janseville. So now the quality of service form dealership is great no matter what company or tractors we have on the farm. Me and my best friend/ employee John run 2 John Deere Pro Stock tractors in the Wisconsin Tractor Pullers Assoc. Smokin Deere and Outlaw Deere. The wife pulls in the Pro Farm class in Pretty in Pink Deere which will be moving up a class to the Pro Stock class but keepin the name. When not working on the farm or pulling tractors we are either riding horses or rodeoin with my sister till the snowflies then its time to crank out the Cat snowmobiles.
